Today we will begin working in EM4 Unit 2 - Multiplication and Geometry. Pre-assessments will be used to help me when planning instruction. "Cracking the Muffin Code" open response problem solving will be returned to students today. I will update ParentVue by 4pm, for those who would like to access the online grade book. If you need help getting logged in please contact the school office for directions.

Happy Friday! On this Flexible Friday students wrapped up their pre-assessments for Unit 2. We also practiced specific skills using IXL and were introduced to the math game Kakooma. Next week we will dive into Unit 2 which focuses on multiplication and geometry. Specific learning targets will be shared next week, based on pre-assessment information. Have a wonderful weekend!

Today we will begin our work in EM4 Unit 1. We will be compacting lessons, when appropriate, based on the data collected through the pre-assessment that students took last week. Students will also be introduced to Cornell Notes, which is the system we will use for note-taking in math class. For math we will be using the 2-column format and including a summary at the end. This is an easy way for students to keep their notes organized and usable. Due to training students on note-taking this lesson will be 2 days long.
